How Ozone Toys Started

Ozone Toys started because I was obsessed with Star Wars as a kid. For my 12th birthday, my mom bought me a collection of vintage Star Wars figures. After looking them up on eBay, I realized she had gotten a great deal, but more importantly, that there were many more collections worth buying.

That created two problems. First, if I kept buying collections, I would end up with a lot of duplicates. Second, my mom was not going to pay for them. So I did what made sense: I kept what I wanted for my own collection, sold the extras online, and used that money to buy more collections. Before long, I had finished my collection, but never stopped.

As the business grew, so did my inventory. What began as a hobby soon filled my parents’ basement, my neighbor’s and grandparents’ garages, and almost a dozen storage units. Managing all the buying, sorting, and selling took more time than I had, especially while I was still in school.

I thought software might help, but I couldn’t find anything that worked for my business. So instead, I taught myself to program and built my own tools for inventory, pricing, and daily operations. Over time, these tools became the systems that power Ozone Toys today, including the app we now use to source most of our inventory.

What began with Star Wars figures has grown into a collectibles business in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. We now operate out of a 28,000-square-foot warehouse, which I used to pass every day on my way to school. Today, we buy collections from sellers all over the country, including Funko Pops, LEGO sets, action figures, Barbies, and more.

Ozone Toys began from a collector’s perspective and was shaped through large-scale buying and processing. This experience drives our commitment to making the selling process faster, clearer, and easier for our customers.

We've come a long way, but my original passion never stopped. Even now, Star Wars toys have a way of following me home.
